“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” Galatians 5:1
For the first 2 years of my life as a believer, it felt like I was on a rollercoaster - constantly shifting with the circumstances of my life. I knew He loved me as a biblical principal, but I was dealing with deep pangs of rejection, comparison, guilt, shame and condemnation. Many days, those icky feelings outweighed the truth of His love for me. Although I was free in Him, I was having a really hard time trying to walk in that freedom from day to day (Keyword: trying).
All of that changed when I stopped trying out of my own strength and realized that I could more fully surrender + believe in the finished work of the cross. To me, Living Loved is walking in freedom from myself + others, gaining all I need from Him. The more I press into the freedom of being loved by Him, the less I need the approval of others, and the more I share with them the love of Christ.
If we take God at His Word (which we oughta do!), we can truly walk in the freedom of the cross + equip others to do the same. Living Loved equips us to live on mission each day, wherever we go! :)
